認知構造に基づく文様検索システム(口頭による研究発表概要)

When ordinary people use the database of traditional patterns, the search method is a problem. It is the aim of this research to construct a system with which a layperson can search for the pattern matching his image without using the traditional name. In previous research, we called the cognitive structures of pattern design "Layer" and classified them into five types. We are constructing a system which uses levels of Layer as the clues for searching. The characteristics of the pattern are extracted by methods of image analysis. The neuralnet program decides the relation between the levels of Layer and the numerical values of image analysis. Our aim for the present is the implementation of our experimental system.
