As needs related to care of the elderly increase, improvement of the devices that they use becomes necessary. The aim of this research is to suggest a mediating interface device design which is differentiated from existing similar designs as it enhances the user-centered usability concerning its form and size considering the human factors of the aged. Relevant traits are summarized into five features following a literature review, and the relevance is analyzed in terms of wearability and design elements to elicit the design requirements. Mobility was the key factor in the application of the proposed design. Two types of design are suggested: a watch type and glove type design, as these are shown to be appropriate as a form of mobile device around the region of the hands.
