For people who do not bring umbrellas in rainy days, it is usually ashamed to ask strangers to share an umbrella, especially in male-female scenarios. Umbrellas as the research object, this paper uses experience design theory and methods to analyze personal psychological activities and emotions when users were sharing an umbrella to identify their needs. Then it put forward the concept of U&Mbrella, by adding intelligent modules such as sensors and lighting and WeChat mini program to expand the functions of umbrellas, to improve the users’ experience when they were sharing an umbrella and the shyness of users under such circumstances can be effectively lessened. Besides, it could also help people to express their desire and establish mutual trust.
