This study aims to examine the knowledge level of science process skills of pre-service student teachers and to investigate the effect of Biology experiment on improving science process skills of pre-service student teachers in Teacher Training Institutions in Cambodia. This study used quasi-experimental design with pre and post-test which access 7 skills of SPS along with control group.it was found that student teachers had high level in Observing, Inferring, Classifying, Defining Operationally and Formulating Models, but low in Formulating Hypothesis skill. There were significant different in Observing skill based on area of institution and in Inferring skill based on their level of education. As a result of second objective, it was found that there was only one skill had significant different in Formulating Hypothesis skill between experimental and control group.
