The aim of this study was to reveal the characteristics of energy consumption of urban inhabitant in China, including gas usages, indoor air temperature and relative air humidity, during 2008. In this study, six urban apartments located in Beijing, Dalian and Shenyang were investigated. The results show that annual energy consumption in Housel was 8.9GJ/Year. Gas heating energy consumption of House 1 was 57% with indoor temperature of 19℃〜20℃ in winter. It was also found that cooling consumption of houses in Beijing, appeared mainly from July to August with outdoor temperature of 25〜35℃. For the cases of Dalian and Shenyang, since heating energy consumption in winter was not known, there were no significant changes of energy consumption of the houses among winter, summer and other seasons.
