This paper discusses the long-term change of thermal conductivity distribution in complicated shape insulation foam with slits. Numerical simulation using three-dimensional finite difference method confirms the effects of surface gas barrier. In addition, the time variation of thermal conductivity and the relationship between surface area and thermal conductivity change for various types of plastic insulation foams are compared.
