We report our recent work about basic studies on crisis management systems for reliable communication/transportation network design and evacuation guidance of residents against large-scale disasters. First, we survey recent developments in modelling of evacuation problems. Next, we describe our efficient algorithm for evacuation and transportation network design to optimally locate facilities of safety.
