抄録

Although as a rule smaller in size, the anal fin of the puffers bears a general resemblance to the dersal fin offering good taxonomic criteria. In this paper the variation of the former will be treated of from the point of view of taxonomy in nearly the same method as that adopted in dealing with the variation of the latter (Abe, 1944).
