Neutral sugar components of the crystalline style of Mactra sulcataria, were isolated by the use of ion-exchange resins and hydrocellulose column. Fucose, xylose, mannose and galactose were identified as their derivatives and the presence of desoxy-ribose and acetylhexosamine was also detected.
