The whole blood hemolyzate, aqueous extracts of the muscle and liver were prepared from the bottlenose dolphin Tursiops truncatus, whitehead grampus Grampus griseus, and their hybrids, and analyzed electrophorectically on polyacrylamide slab gels. The hemolyzate of a hybrid exhibited two fast-migrating albumin-like protein bands whose electrophoretic mobilities were the same as those of bottlenose dolphin and whitehead grampus. So was the case with the muscle or liver extracts. In addition, the mobilities of the fast-migrating bands were the same through the three tissues. Among both dolphins and hybrids, no signficant differences were recognizd in muscle enzymes such as lactate dehydrogenase, malate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase, adenylate kinase, and phosphoglucomutase.
