Observed temperature distribution in the neighbourhood of the inlet of drainage from Yumoto hot spring at the northe end of Lake Yunoko, Nikkô, was compared with the result of calculation, in which the problem was treated as stationary hat conduction through a medium having cross section and cooling surface varying from place to place.
