When 10mg of riboflavin dissolved in 100ml of physiological saline was given into the stomach of dogs, the amount of the vitamin excreted into the bile was markedly smaller in malnourished dogs. Hepatic change, which was observed histologically in the malnourished dogs, was considered to be one of the factors relating to the failure of excreting riboflavin into the bile in the malnourished dogs.
