Allithiamine diphosphate obtained as described in the previous paper, was injected to rabbits subcutaneously, and variations of the content of thiamine and its ester in the blood plasma and blood cell, were observed. Increase of ester form of thiamine in the blood cell was higher and continued the level for a longer time than in case of the administrations of thiamine diphosphate, thiamine propyldisulfide or thiamine hydrochloride. The value of free thiamine, total thiamine and its ester, one hour after the injection, were higher than in case of thiamine propyldisulfide or thiamine hydrochloride, but after three hours, little or no difference was found between them.
