To study on the effect of vitamin E on blood coagulation in vivo, 300mg of vitamin E was given by intramuscular injection to rabbits for 9 days and changes of blood coagulation factors were investigated. Blood coagulation time, recalcified clotting time and thrombin time were prolonged, but the first and the second stage of blood coagulation showed no change. Plasmin and whole plasmin value were elevated. These results show that vitamin E is antithrombic and activated fibrinolysis in vivo. It is in agreement with my result of experiment in vitro.
