We considered the significance of modeling education of ICHIJI TAMURA who worked as a forerunner of welfare for the disabled in Shiga prefecture after the World War II in this paper.
As a method, we examined the articles and literature materials written by Tamura about his 30-year-work from the special class of Shigeno Elementary School in Kyoto City and to the clay work in the “ICHIBAKURYO”, a disabled welfare facility in Shiga prefecture.
As a result, we made it clear that he used the instruction idea and method of “Significance of the Process” which he found a meaning in the process of learning during children’s playing and the value judgement in children’s expression.

This study examined one child's responsive actions toward her peers as her relationships with them developed during drawing activities. A participatory observation was conducted in a nursery class of 5-year-olds for eight months. Episodes of free play were analyzed qualitatively. The results were as follows: 1) The child's degree of intimacy with other children influenced her interactions with them during drawing activities. For peers with whom she shared high degrees of intimacy, she focused on the pleasure of being together and showed emotionally responsive actions. For peers with whom she shared low degrees of intimacy, she attempted self-assertion over them. 2) As peer relationships transformed, she gradually expressed feelings of consideration for the other children and sought insight from their drawings, expressions, and utterances. 3) The purpose of the drawing activities changed from a purposeful activity with a certain child to an improvised activity with a chance encounter.

In this rapidly changing world, art education assessment is a cornerstone of envisioning educational reform. Under such circumstances, it is necessary to clarify the entire structure as well as the core parts of contemporary studies. This paper focuses on the current condition of practical studies on art education evaluation conducted in the United States. It will conduct a systematic review of the academic journals Studies in Art Education and Art Education published by the National Art Education Association (NAEP) from 2002 to 2017.
The analysis results clearly showed that art education assessment has many political implications, for example, on accountability, standards movement, and NAEP. Also, with regard to research categories, many studies focused on developing alternative art assessment methods, such as digital portfolios, rubrics, and moderation processes. All these are related to the authentic assessment context.
