The form of high grade sulfur and iron sulfide ore bodies of the Matsuo Mine have been regarded as an amoeba-like, jellyfish-like or other massive bodies. The writer, by using of “an assay graph method”, found that the sulfur ore bodies are rich in andesitic lava and tuff under shale controlling their forms. Therefore, sulfur ore bodies are constructed in platy ore zones. While iron sulfide ores are generally rich in the upper zone, especially in the andesite lava and agglomerate.
Some data that may be instructive on the genetic consideration, are obtained from this assay graphh method.
