The author has solved technical problems in 350 projects in the last 40 years. The solution has also created innovation and contributed to corporate profits. The process of "inspiration" and "reification" is necessary in order for a product or service to innovate. "Reification" requires a decision based on sufficient knowledge. This cannot be solved by creative development techniques. This is due to the unique technical ability based on the basic knowledge learning ability. For this, it is important to determine "whether cost-oriented or technical level-oriented". The author joined the Society and received support to realize the innovation of many people. The motives for solving technical problems were "clarifying functions," "realizing desires," "reifying activities," "understanding qualities," and "supporting decision-making. "As a result, the author has provided "tools", "maps", and "thoughts". The author summarizes from "awareness" to "implementation" leading to the solution of technical problems.

In recent years, "concepts" have become the basis for both the explanation of creative cognitive processes and the design of curricula for knowledge transfer. The purpose of this study is to develop the attitude of 10-12 year old students to use concepts when generating ideas. We developed the Pump Chart for helping students understand the effectiveness of concepts for idea generation. Students experience the flow of "concrete→abstract (concept)→new concrete" by using the Chart. To confirm the improvement of their attitude, we compare two groups (Shown concepts class and Not shown concepts class). We used the Pump Chart in the Shown concepts class and the Brainstorming in the Not shown concepts class. The results in the Shown concepts class showed that the students highly evaluated the quality of their ideas (fluency, flexibility, and originality), and their attitude toward the use of concepts were promoted in idea generation.

Defining entrepreneurship as creative activities initiated by highly creative minds, this study examined the research question: what motivates students showing the entrepreneurial attitude? This research specifies developmental stages they were in as entrepreneurs. To examine the question, we held the business model competition for students, namely M-BIP, followed by questionnaires and interviews to determine their motivations for entrepreneurship. Consequently, three factors, “increasing social status with the desire to overcome frustrations”, “economic independence to enhance quality of life”, and “social implementation to embody their creativity”, are indicated. Moreover, autopoietic minds that sees interactions with others as opportunities for self-sustaining growth were demonstrated during the interviews. In conclusion, it was implied that, for practical entrepreneurial education, interaction with various stakeholders to motivate participants is essential to encourage them to pursue their business plans and future visions. Our research also indicates that this leads to heighten the motivation of participants.

This study is to propose a group learning type workshop method to enhance subjective well-being of the adolescences admitted to childcare facilities, based upon previous studies about subjective well-being by Seligman, Boniwell, Maeno and others, and then to prove quantitatively and qualitatively its efficacy. A group learning type workshop method is composed by two works; one work for self-acceptance and another for connection and appreciation. The authors conduct the workshop for groups of admitted adolescences and prove the efficacy of the proposed method to enhance their subjective well-being, quantitatively by the survey of the Satisfaction with Life Scale and qualitatively by semi-structured interviews to those adolescences. As a result, this study explores the potential to apply a group learning type workshop method to enhance subjective well-being of the adolescences admitted to childcare facilities as one method to support the independence of those adolescences after graduation from the facilities.

The aim of this study is to understand the impression changes caused by anti-realistic processing of realistic photographic image, which is easily available today. Anti-realistic images with a moderate level of abstraction are an image expression that enriches our world. The stimulus images used in this study are high-resolution full-color images and five types of anti-realistic processed images. As a result of the Semantic differential method, it is judged that there is a common evaluation structure for the images, and factor analysis is conducted on the evaluation results of all stimulus images. Then, based on the factor scores for each factor, we can understand the impression difference given by each processing method for each cluster. From the correspondence between above content and the nature of the original image in each cluster, a qualitative relationship between the characters of the original image, the processing method, and the impression change is shown.

The purpose of this research is to obtain knowledge for improving the design-creativity by showing one method of acquiring Kansei-Requirements by clarifying Kansei-Words in the process of design creation. We showed how to acquire the Kansei of a person (user) as a Kansei-Requirement in the design creation process, and considered for improving the design-creativity. The subject of the case study was " PPS (Paper-Partition-System), a partition system for evacuation centers." We conducted a PPS accommodation experience experiment and clarified the Kansei of the patissipants on a network-diagram. For "brightness" and "wideness", "brightness of cloth" and "area of floor" are used as physical quantities, respectively, Conducted Kansei-Evaluation by the Magnitude-Estimation-Method to show the characteristics, and the characteristics are expressed. Obtained as Kansei-Requirements. Multiple design ideas were created by conducting a workshop for creating design ideas for the re-design of PPS. As a result, it was confirmed that the acquisition of Kansei-Requirements contributes to the improvement of design-creativity.

This paper provides experimental verification that a service’s vision can be expressed by iterations of "prior image construction of the Ba based on the purpose" and "structuring by coordination between viewpoints". Services can be drawn as visuals models using an idea sketch sheet to express purposes and contexts that are difficult to verbalize. The service modeling sheet also facilitates the iterative design of the business-service-product hierarchy. Testing confirmed that a service’s vision can be visually modeled by anyone regardless of their professional background or design skills. Based on these results, the vision building process models the service in terms of both concept and images, and identifies the products needed to enable the service by recognizing and correcting their mismatching elements or anomalous structure. In addition, since the modeled vision can be shared with others, a wide gamut of interpretations can be fostered among the participants.

We held a large-scale workshop 2 times in 2008 and 2018, where all 370 employees gathered together whether or not they were interested. Our technique focuses on the interaction of all employees and sharing successful experiences. It has the following characteristics. The main purpose is the process. All 370 employees gathered in one place. A mixed team of about 12 members will be formed, combining work, organization, age and technology. Many of them are inexperienced in creative techniques (especially in 2008). Within 3 hours, the results of the group will be made into imitation paper. In this paper, we will discuss the practical content and failure cases of the first session, the improved processes and results of the second session 10 years later, and what kind of ingenuity was useful in a large in-house workshop, We will also explain the effects of collaboration by all employees.

It has been recognized that resonance, in which a shared mental image is formed and a creative psychological state resonates with others, is a qualitatively important phenomenon in creative collaboration. By using biosignal indicators to grasp resonance quantitatively, the authors ena-bled a methodological exploration of the interactions that foster the resonance. In this study, the authors attempted to capture creative psychological states with biosignal indicators by compar-ing multi-modal biosignal indicators such as electromyography (EMG) and electroretinography (EOG), measured during co-creative concept formation in pairs. The pair participants were asked to generate new concepts from two noun phrases, and to also report on how they per-ceived the creative psychological states and resonances experienced. As a result, differences between resonance and mere creative psychological states of two in a pair were captured by several biosignal indicators, such as the further activation of the orbicularis oculi muscle during resonance.

n recent years, we have developed a design school for care workers that incorporates design thinking in the care work field, where the need for human resource development is required. The contents of the design school for care workers were constructed based on the steps of design thinking, the evaluation as a human resources development program is confirmed from the satisfaction of the participants, and the steps of Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test in design thinking are each. It was clarified that it affects the evaluation of the program. Furthermore, it is possible to verify that there is a human resource development effect from the internal changes of participants such as occupational image, diverse abilities, and sense of well-being, and to further improve them by carefully managing the steps of design thinking.

In this study, we conducted a survey on entrepreneurship among Japanese and Chinese university students. As a result, it was found that Chinese students have more entrepreneurship than Japanese students. Differences in "surrounding environment," "self-evaluation," and "values regarding employment " were also cited as factors. As for the Japanese, there was a significant difference between male and female respondents. For Japanese female, features such as "low self-esteem," "lack of entrepreneurial acquaintances," and "views on employment that do not consider starting a business" were found. On the other hand, for Chinese students, there was almost no difference between males and females. In entrepreneurship, a unique feature of the Chinese students is that no gender differences were detected.
