Health Sciences University of Hokkaido has finished a government-subsidized project, "Education program for pharmacists and nurses aiming to eliminate the medical information disparities among regions," for the fiscal year 2009. The project was subsidized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. The author explains the outline of the program and Learning Management System (LMS), an e-learning system developed as a part of the program. The author also describes the problems and the improvement strategies for the next year derived from the results of self-evaluation and questionnaire surveys for students which asked their satisfaction levels about the quality of classes and the third-party panel's external evaluation.
