This study presented the development of the electrical isolated data collecting system by means of the special movement of random access memory pack [RAM-pack] between the A/D converter and the computer.
In the normal male aged 29, the deep temperatures of forehead and masseter muscle, the skin temperature of masseter muscle, and the room temperature were sampled at a rate of 15 sec/time during sleep throughout five consecutive nights.
It was shown that 1) This system was able to collect the data of body temperatures in security; 2) Each body temperature showed the short-lasting changes superimposed on the long-lasting change. The nocturnal variation might be characterized of a basal circadian rhythm.

In order to epidemiological investigation of TMJ disorder, 2300 employees in an inderstry at Nagasaki district were investigated by a questionnaire. The results obtained of 2183 valid contributors were as follows:
1. Of the valid contributors, frequencies of complaints of sound, pain and limitation, which were typical symptoms of TMJ disorder, were 18.2, 17.2 and 6.8%, respectively. And 22.2% of them complained one symptom, 8.8% complained more than two complex symptoms.
2. No significant deference was found in these TMJ disorder-like symptoms in terms of age and sex distributions (P>0.1).
3. The association between the wearness of a removable denture and TMJ disorder-like symptoms was not significant (P>0.1).
4. The associations between complaints of headache, of stiff shoulder, of bruxism and TMJ disorder-like symptoms were 0.14 (P<0.001), 0.13 (P<0.001) and 0.07 (P<0.005), respectively. The more complicated the symptoms of TMJ disorder was, the higher the frequency of these complaints was (P<0.001).
5. The results suggested that the further extention of the sample should be necessary to investigate the etiology of TMJ disorder.
