The purpose of this study was to inspect and analyze the consultation records of the Senso-ji Social Welfare Center (hereafter referred to as the “Center”), to examine the consultation activities and comprehensive consultation services of a private consultation organization. The period analyzed was 20 years (April 1, 2000―March 31, 2020), involving data of 1,134 first-time visitors for each fiscal year. KHcorder3 was used for data analysis and quantitative text analysis was performed.
Data analysis yielded the following results. Co-Occurrence Network analysis revealed the emergence of 10 subgroups, indicating significant diversity in consultation content. Correspondence Analysis indicated that many of the consultations were conducted before referring clients to support and services. This suggested that consultation activities provided by the Center function as an approach to clients who are not supported by government measures and cannot seek support from the government.
