The species of Siobla CAMERON from Taiwan, China are revised. Three new species are described: Siobla joveata NIU and WEI, sp. nov., S. robustiserrula NIU and WEI, sp. nov. and S. tenuitibialis NIU and WEI, sp. nov. Siobla insularis MALAISE, 1945 is synonymized with S. taiwanica MALAISE, 1945. Siobla straminea immaculata WEI, 2002 and Siobla schedli HARIS, 2007 are synonymized with S. maxima TURNER, 1920. The female of S. fumipennis MALAISE, 1945, the males of S. formosana TAKEUCHI, 1927 and S. taiwanica MALAISE, 1945 are described for the first time. A key to the eight known species of Siobla from Taiwan is provided. S. fulva TAKEUCHI, 1927, S. formosana TAKEUCHI, 1927, S. jumipennis MALAISE, 1945, S. taiwanica MALAISE, 1945 and S. maxima TURNER, 1920 are redescribed because the original descriptions of them were brief.

Two new apterous staphylinid species of the genus Lathrobium from Okayama Prefecture in western Honshu, Japan, are dealt with. One of these species seems to be related to L. taishakuense Y. WATANABE, while the other is remarkable in having peculiar genital organ in the male. They are described under the names L. (L.) aonoi and L. (L.) suzukii.

The type material of the Taiwanese species of Cyparium and Toxidium described by MIWA and MITONO is studied Cyparium formosanum is redescribed and a lectotype is designated Cyparium monticola is placed in synonymy with Pseudobironium languei, and a lectotype and paralectotypes are designated for the former. Cyparium montanum and Toxidium villosum are reported from Taiwan for the first time. Pseudobironium hisamatsui sp. nov. is described from Taiwan. Lectotype and paralectotype are designated for Toxidium formosanum, a species currently placed in Scaphobaeocera. Keys to the Asian species of Cyparium and to the Taiwanese species of Pseudobironium are provided.

Based on field observations and rearings in 2010 to 2011 in Mureung valley, Gangwon-do, Korea, host plants are newly recorded for two pamphiliid sawflies belonging to the genus Onycholyda. Agrimonia pilosa(Rosaceae) is the host of Onycholyda nigroclypeata SHINOHARA, 1987, and Rubus parvifolius L. (Rosaceae) is the host of Onycholyda odaesana SHINOHARA and BYUN, 1993. The host and larva of 0. nigroclypeata have been unknown. Brief descriptions of the larvae and notes on the life history of the two species are given

The collection of Calliphoridae during the surveys on flies of medical and forensic importance in Thailand from 1975 to 2010 is dealt with. A total 27 genera and 93 species of the blow flies are listed. Thirty species including Calliphora vicina ROBINEAU-DESVOIDY are newly recorded from Thailand. One new species of the genus Isomyia WALKER is described and illustrated, which is similar to Jsomyia nebulosa (TOWNSEND, 1917) from Assam, India and Lower Burma. Revised keys to the Thai species are provided to include the new and newly recorded ones.

Ceutorhynchus wasabi YOSHITAKE, sp. nov., is described from Hokkaido and northern Honshu, Japan. This species is characterized mainly by the body with a blue luster, metallic blue elytra that are widest just behind the humeri and then gradually narrowed to the middle, unarmed femora, and lateral pieces of meso- and metasterna with dense punctures, each of which bears a light-colored stout scale. This species is associated with wasabi, Eutrema
japonicum (Brassicaceae), and is known as a pest of field-cultivated wasabi in Iwate Prefecture.

Caliroa nara sp. nov. (Hymenoptera, Tenthredinidae) is described from Japan (Hokkaido and Honshu) and Korea. The larvae are gregarious leaf feeders on Quercus spp. Severe defoliation by the sawfly has been observed in Aomori Prefecture, Honshu, Japan since 2004 and in Gyeongsangbuk-do, Korea from 1996 to 2000. A Chinese species, C. angustata FORSIUS, 1927, is redescribed based on the holotype. The diagnostic characters of a Holarctic species, C. annulipes (KLUG, 1816), are discussed.

Four remarkable new species of scutacarid mites, Archidispus shirahatai, A. sclerodermus, A. tokyoensis and A. aokii, are described from Japan on the basis of phoretic females found on carabid beetles belonging to the tribes Patrobini, Harpalini, Pterostichini, Platyni, Sphodrini and Amarini. Each species is easily recognized by several differently modified coxal setae and some other characteristics.

Spinapalochrus PIC, 1919, previously treated as a subgenus of Opisthapalochrus EVERS, 1987, has to be treated as valid name for this genus because it has priority. Opisthapalochrus becomes a valid subgenus of Spinapalochrus. The status of two new taxa is changed and four new combinations are proposed accordingly.

Exochomoscirtes hajeki sp. nov. and E. carinensis sp. nov. are described from Malaysia and Myanmar respectively. New records of E. discoidalis (Pre), E. klausnitzeri RUTA & YOSHITOMI, and E. cf heinrichdathei KLAUSNITZER are reported. Studies of female genitalia of species externally resembling E. heinrichdathei revealed presence of several common features that may suggest close relationship between these species.
