The amounts of the damage of landslide disasters are calculated by the official manuals. But they focus on direct losses such as roads, railways, and infra-structures that were destroyed by a landslide.
This research report refers to some cases of landslide disasters in Japan to make clear the indirect damage categories, ranges, and periods that are caused by a landslides. Also the authors suggest the possibility that the amount of the total detour loss could estimate the amount of indirect losses including social influences.
