This study was carried out for the purpose of clarifying the deterioration mechanism of the shotcrete slopes and getting the basic documents that were useful for future maintenance based on the existing inspection and repair records. Since generally the deterioration mechanism of the shotcrete slopes is apt to be varied according to a geological feature or climate condition and so on, this study focused on the road slope in the Meso-Paleozoic bedrocks distributed in Gunma Prefecture. From the result, the schematical deterioration mechanism of the shotcrete slopes in the Meso-Paleozoic bedrocks distributed in the study area was found out and the applied method to the effective maintenance including the deterioration prediction was examined.
