This paper describes the results of series of tension and flexural strength tests of horizontal and vertical construction joints in concrete works. The relative efficiencies of the various methods are discussed. It is concluded that hundred per cent efficiency will certainly be obtained when the old concrete is made free from segregation and cured satisfactory, and the new concrete is revibrated suitably after placed.
