The assistant surveyor license could be given to graduate students of designated higher education with fulfill the credit requirements for survey-related coursework, without any specific examination. Furthermore, the surveyor license as the upper grade is given without examination when fulfill the requirement based on their survey experiences. The license should be generally provided for the contents of survey education. Evaluating the content and quality of survey education, some problems were identified from the viewpoints of effective education. The problems includes disciplines and standard, the contents that referenced operation specifications for public surveys, the new surveying technology, the education of mathematics, and so on. The new teaching materials were studied and developed to overcome these problems, and then the material was newly published as a 253-page textbook in 2014. This paper describes the development of the newest survey teaching materials, through present circumstance of survey education and surveyor license system.

In the paper, the cloud storage system on the Internet was used to distribute educational materials to students for improving students' self-study of structural mechanics. The students could contact the materials through various mobile devices; a smart phone, a tablet computer, etc. anytime and anywhere. We conducted a questionnaire survey to the students taking structural mechanics at National Institute of Technology, Oita College to consider the effect of the cloud system. Effectiveness of using the cloud system was clarified to produce educational benefits, especially improvement of self-study in reviewing for structural mechanics. Strategy was discussed to produce more benefits on the basis of some problems and future subjects found in the survey.

Civil engineering aims to create public welfare and social benefits; studying the subject will develop the public consciousness, which is one of the objectives for school education as well.
While civil engineering is still limited in education as a practical subject, it is beginning to expand and gain some traction.
We hope that this report on the first year of our Mobility Management Education project carried out in Kyoto city will assist with the continuing evolution of the field of civil engineering in school education.

In the paper, a tablet-type device was applied to classes of structural mechanics and dynamics to improve educational effectiveness. Because additional comments, equations, markers, etc. were written or drawn directly on image of handouts from the device to a screen, utilizing the device leaded students to a better understanding of class contents. Questionnaires were carried out to students in National Institute of Technology, Oita College to research educational effectiveness and problems after the classes. The tablet-type device was found to be useful for students to deeply understand the structural mechanics and dynamics from the questionnaire results.

Active seniors have attracted attention for serving important roles in helping each other since 2007, when baby boomers began to retire. However, the actual circumstances related to active seniors remain unknown. This study refers to active seniors' real image and conditions in which talented people grow up potentially or apparently. The object of this research is Ushiku City, a typical suburban area with aging residents. Results clarified that people in their 60s who go out about 3-6 times per week and who have a small number of people to socialize with other than family members take part in activities to help each other in the area. Nevertheless, for those who go out 7 or more times per week and for people older than 70 years old, the will to participate in activities tends to be low.

Engineers working at a ready-mixed concrete factory have little opportunity to study mixture design of concrete due to developed technologies and shortage of workers. The lack of knowledge of mixture-designing should be concerned especially for young concrete-engineers. The foci of the present study are to reeducate fundamental mixture-design method and to develop an effective education program for young engineers. To study properties of former concrete, river aggregate was employed and a competition of mixture design for the concrete was conducted. The educative competition confirmed that practiced engineers have more superior skill to modify concrete design than young engineers. A questionnaire survey after the competition shows that the education method for the young engineers should be modified to learn the skill and experiences from skilled engineers.
