This paper describes the basic characteristic of the living body on examining a living body processing device and the former condition of the processing spot. In the living body with the individual difference, it is a necessary thing to grasp rough shape and a basic characteristic when it designs the processing device. So, we observed the processing object part of the living body and measured dimensions of each part and the power that was necessary for the deboning. By the measurement, we measured full length, overall width, the number of the bone and so on.

This paper describes the cutting machine of the living body in the living body processing device. In the removal work of the backbone, it complicates a device to let a machine copy from current manual labor. Therefore, we examined the cutting machine to plan promotion of efficiency of the work. In the cutting machine, we examined the structure of the device, the shape of the cutter blade and produced it experimentally. And we performed the cutting experiment of the backbone with a prototype and confirmed the cutting situation or a sectional state after the cutting. In the result, we acquired information to improve it about the most suitable cutting position and method, structure and so on.

Fatigue strength of electroplated copper thin films was measured under uni-axial stress loading. Two kinds of electroplated films were prepared for the fatigue test. One was a commercial film mainly used for interconnections in printed wiring boards. The other film was grown on a stainless steel substrate by using acid copper sulfate bath without any additive agent. The fatigue fractured surfaces were observed by using SEM (scanning electro microscope). It was found that the fracture mode of the films was quite different with each other. The former film showed a ductile fracture surface, while the latter film showed brittle one. In addition, the fatigue strength of the latter was about 1.5 times higher than that of the former. This was mainly due to the difference of the micro texture between the two films.
