The heat transfer and flow characteristics for fully developed flow in a tube whose core is partially filled with porous medium were studied numerically. In the present study, Nu vs. Re*f^<1/3> is employed to evaluate the heat transfer performance. The results showed that utilizing porous media inserts in the core flow of a tube is a very effective method to enhance heat transfer under equal pumping power.
