Elderly people who need nursing care are over 3.7 million people over the age of 75, increasing year by year. In particular, many elderly people have dementia. 8 periods of the aromatherapy treatment once a week have been done to the subject who had Alzheimer type dementia in 2005 and moving into a special nursing home for the elderly since 2013, focused on the state of the meal that the care workers most desires to improve. In the special condition of dementia, since it is difficult to self-judgement of subjects when using the KK scale, we examined numerically based on the cooperation of the care workers of the facility. The changes of QOL set in a holistic viewpoint were observed, and the effect of aromatherapy was evaluated using the KK scale in this paper.
