There is no right answer to raising a child, and many mothers find it difficult at all times, sometimes even painful. This is true regardless of whether or not the child has a "disability. It is said that a child's upbringing is not complete without interaction with adults. Adults intentionally work with children, but children have the ability to unconsciously elicit from adults what they need, and they interact with adults on their own to elicit this. Because children with developmental disabilities have sometimes this 'growth force' weakened, the adults who interact with them, especially mothers, may often experience confusion and difficulty. In this study, a 36-year-old woman who complained of emotional distress due to her inability to cope with stress in the process of raising her son with developmental disabilities was treated with aromatherapy once every 7 days for a total of 6 courses, and changes in QOL were observed using the KK scale method.
