There is no right answer to raising a child, and many mothers find it difficult at all times, sometimes even painful. This is true regardless of whether or not the child has a "disability. It is said that a child's upbringing is not complete without interaction with adults. Adults intentionally work with children, but children have the ability to unconsciously elicit from adults what they need, and they interact with adults on their own to elicit this. Because children with developmental disabilities have sometimes this 'growth force' weakened, the adults who interact with them, especially mothers, may often experience confusion and difficulty. In this study, a 36-year-old woman who complained of emotional distress due to her inability to cope with stress in the process of raising her son with developmental disabilities was treated with aromatherapy once every 7 days for a total of 6 courses, and changes in QOL were observed using the KK scale method.

Many postpartum women often experience physical fatigue due to lower back pain, stiff shoulders, tendonitis, breast milk production, and lack of sleep due to nighttime breastfeeding and childcare. There may be disturbances in the autonomic nervous system or hormonal balance, and there may also be mental anxiety such as anxiety about raising children or dissatisfaction with the husband. In this study, postpartum subjects were given six body treatments using macadamia nut oil once every seven days, and changes in their QOL were observed using the KK scale method. During this study, since the subjects were breastfeeding, only carrier oil was used in consideration of the effects of essential oils on the fetus.
