The purpose of the current study is to reveal the relationship of the human behavior as use of vending machines (V.M.) and the actual conditions of spaces around V.M. At first, as a survey for this study, check up on the whole numbers of V.M. at selected area in Fukuoka city, and the actual conditions of spaces where vending machine installed. The survey showed; 1.the spaces around V.M, can be considered to be structured from 3 factors. That is the construction of streets, the object behind V.M, and the factors in neighborhood. 2,There is a bias in numbers of V.M. installed in downtown streets, on width of streets. From now, a survey of the human behavior is intended, at the sights selected out of these typical condition ot spaces around V.M. revealed.
