In recent years, the number of fishermen in Japan is decreasing and the aging trend of fishermen continues. There are fishing villages that will lead to regional collapse if left as it is. In order to stop such a trend and regenerate the fishing village, it is necessary to leave a certain number of the remaining fishery management.
In other words, it is necessary to selectively leave fishery management that can be passed on to the next generation of young fishermen.
Also, to that end, it is necessary to provide conditions for using fishing grounds that are advantageous for such fishery management. This is the current significance of voluntary fishing ground management in the region.
In this report, the method, contents, conditions, etc. were examined by looking at some cases in Hokkaido regarding attempts to regenerate and maintain fishing villages based on such fishing ground management.
