Abstract
The purpose of this study is to clarify the differences in green supply chain management (GSCM) practices according to its motives. We conducted factor analysis and extracted the two factors: `adaptation to environment motive' and `profits and value creation motive'. We classified the sample in four groups and analyzed the differences in GSCM practices among them. The results are as follows; 1)In the high score group of both two motives, the information about components and measured values of regulated chemicals is exchanged in detail among partners significantly. 2)The review and standardization of existing workflows are advanced significantly in the former group. 3)It is a characteristic feature of the high score group in `profits and value creation motive' that screening and narrowing down of partners.
