A comparative 360°/180°data aquisition study with a myocardial phantom was performed to detect a suitable data sampling technique for myocardial emission computed tomography using thallium-201. The homogeneous distribution of radioative is more frequently shown in the 180°data sampling technique than 360°data sampling techniqe for all the experimental studies, especially in the seputum and posterior/inferior areas than in other myocrdial areas. It was concluded that the 360°data sampling technique is superior to the 180°technique in evaluating myocardial perfusion imaging using thalllim-201.
