氷酢酸と無水酢酸中における3-カレンの鉛丹による酸化反応

抄録

Oxidation of 3-carene [1] with red lead in glacial acetic acid and acetic anhydride at 60±2°C gave; p-cymene-8-ol acetate [2] as main product and p-cymene [3], 3-carene-2-ol acetate [4], α-terpinyl acetate [5], 1, 1, 4-trimethyl-2, 4-cycloheptadiene-6-ol acetate [6] and trans-carvenyl acetate [7] as minor ingredients of the products.
Oxidation compound [2] have a mild wood-like odor, and this may be useful as a stable perfume.
