The purpose of the present investigation is to design a piezoelectric speaker which is composed with the flat plate and the piezoelectric vibrator connected by rod. The rubber-weight is stuck on piezoelectric vibrator in order to improve the acoustic characteristics of piezoelectric speaker. In the experiment, in addition to the measurement of sound pressure level, the displacement of flat plate has been measured. The experimental results show that the radiation sound could be improved by connecting rod which supported in the center of vibrator. And, by sticking rubber-weight on the circumferential parts of piezoelectric vibrator, the acoustic characteristics of piezoelectric speaker could be planarized.
