The production of bent-wood chairs in Japan has been developed since the second half of the Meiji Restoration Era. Even though Private Companies took on researchs a little faster than the Government, those researchs made progress almost at the same time. The designs of bent-wood chairs weere, all of them, copies from the Thonet's ones, and for that reason our own designs cannot be seen at all. From the beginning, there were produced for export and for the internal maket consume as objective.
