In this research, the wedding costume pattern in the latter Nineteen-century of Choson Dynasty is examined. This study is focused on how the Korean concept of luckiness is expressed in these patterns and designs. In the result, there are several features of those pattern arrangements, and the wishes of groom and bride are also appeared in these patterns.(1)According to the analysis of bride costume pattern, there are three concepts of luckiness that is Faith of longevity, Faith of the five blessings(wealth and rank), and Faith of three great (fecundity). (2)According to the analysis of groom costume pattern, based on the concept of longevity, the superiority of civil service to military service is expressed as luckiness.
