This study investigated the relationship between gender role and achievement motivation. Factor analysis identified four factors related to gender role: Dependability (male role), Firmness (male role), Serviceability (female role), and Reservedness (female role). And five factors releted to achievement motivation were also identified: Engagement in the task, Initiative, Fullness of self, Superiority, and Rationalization of actions. As the result of analysis using correlation of the relationship between gender role and achievement motivation, the following results were obtained. 1.Dependability, firmness and serviceability are positively related to some achievement motivation's dimensions of both male and female undergraduates. 2. Reservedness is negatively releted to some achievement motivation's dimensions of both male and female undergraduates.
