The new photocatalysts have been obtained by coupling SrTi1-xCryO3 with CaAl2O4:(Eu, Nd). CaAl2O4:(Eu, Nd) with eye-visible persistent luminescence can be used as light source after a promising coupling. The obtained CaAl2O4:(Eu, Nd)/SrTi1-xCryO3 catalysts were found to persistently reduce NO in the dark after solar light irradiation, while the photocatalytic activity of unsupported SrTi1-xCryO3 immediately disappeared after turning off the light.
