Typhoon 10 from August 30 to 31, 2016 caused the embankment to collapse at around 0.1 km on the left bank of the Futatsumori-river (Shitchinohe-Town, Kamikita-gun, Aomori Prefecture). The trace level of the damaged area is lower than the top of the embankment and the state of sediment remaining between the roots of the fallen trees on the river front side is presumed to be low flow velocities other than the breakout mouth, Because it is difficult to think of bankrupt due to erosion, I guessed it was broke by permeation.
The authors conducted observation and recording of cross section by opening of levee breakage site, field permeability test, collection of soil sample and indoor soil test (indoor permeability test etc) by sampled sample, sounding investigation by soil strength inspection bar at the site etc In addition to conducting the analysis, we analyzed the factors of disaster by performing penetrant flow analysis based on these investigation results.
