抄録
A "Japanese study (NIHON JIJOU)" class looking at a variety of issues concerned with Japanese society and culture has been taught in Okayama University as a part of the General Education curriculum since 1999. The students are both Japanese and foreign students but the language of the class is mainly Japanese. Such a class is relatively rare because of this mix of students and also because of the variety of the lesson content. This report describes these contents and teaching methods in detail. It will also discuss the advantages of having such a class with mixed nationality students.
