Studies were made on decomposition of thiamine disulfide and its derivatives by crude thiaminase of Bacillus thiaminolyticus and B. aneurinolyticus. Thiamine disulfide cetylsulfate, benzoylthiamine disulfide and acetylthiamine disulfide were found to be hardly destroyed even under the same conditions as thiamine hydrochloride was readily decomposed.
