In the electron-nuclear double resonance in Cu-MN dilute alloy, nuclear Overhauser effect is induced by the Mn ions via the conduction electrons. Degree of the enhancement of the nuclear polarization depends on the spin-lattice relaxation of the conduction electrons, then we can expect to estimate the relaxation rate through the measurement of the Overhauser effect. We can show theoretically the possibility of the large Overhauser effect in the sample containing 10
-2 atomic percent Mn at the liquid helium temperature, if the spin-lattice relaxation of the conduction electrons is lying in the region _??_10
-10sec. Spin diffusion process does not contribute to the nuclear relaxation appreciably unless temperature is extremely low (1°K)
