The state of a front boundary of a wedge-shaped or spike domain in barium titanate crystal is discussed theoretically. Particular attention is given to thickness and energy of the boundary, the result being four lattices(about 16Å)and 78 erg per cm
2 respectively. This is in contrast with the result of 180° domain wall which has no thickness and 1.4erg per cm
2. The energy of the front boundary is also found to be about two times the magnitude of the calculated polarization energy(36 erg per cm
2 of one-lattice layer).
