The goal of this paper is to clarify several points about the characteristics of farmland accumulation and regional agriculture resource management in large-scale paddy tenant farming, particularly for the 30a division rice paddy area in the Hokuriku area. Those points are:
(1) Large-scale paddy tenant farming is associated with an accumulation of farmland under zoning by mutual agreement. Therefore, farmland accumulation is developing there.
(2) A rural community is actively managing regional agriculture resources. Therefore, rural communities support stable, large-scale paddy tenant farming.
(3) But water utilization facilities are aging in rural communities. This limit has caused rural communities to be dependent on regional agriculture resource management. Thus, large-scale paddy tenant farming requires accumulation of 1ha division rice paddy.
