The purpose of this paper is to review and to discuss about the studies of creativity in Korea. The studies have been actively developed during the late 1990's and 2000's. At the beginning of the period, the relations among creativity, intelligence and school record were studied, and then not merely cognitive factor of creativity but also personal factor. Furthermore, the studies were expanded from domain-generality to domain-specificity. Especially, application of Csikszentmihalyi's system model (Choi, In Soo, 1998) was one of the remarkable results that would have offered turning point in the defining creativity of Korea and making alternative research direction. Important contribution of the research were raising concern to researchers on the theme "What is Korean model of creativity?". On the other hand, the research was meaningful as follows; creativity is depended not only on the personal factor but on the social and historical environment which the creativity was recognized and developed. From the implications of the results, the application of system model in the research for children would facilitate creativity program considering with the relations among "individual", "domain", and "field" in the environment of school education.
