In order to make the construction and circulation of digital knowledge sustainable, an industrialization perspective is essential. For this purpose, it is necessary to share various DA-related activities and technologies, and furthermore, to have a bird's-eye view of activities and issues related to DA industrialization. This paper describes an overview of the DA Short Talks, which have been held once a month since FY2022 with these motivations in mind.

Digital Archives (DA) are a blend of public and private elements, involving individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. To foster information sharing and mutual understanding in this field, DA Short Talks have been organized, featuring lectures and discussions. We have used text analysis methods to extract various issues related to the industrialization of DA from the content of these Short Talks, presenting them as a two-dimensional map. Each Talk is positioned on the map and made available as web content on the subcommittee's website, ensuring widespread access to the results. Additionally, links to the presentation materials archive are provided. We report on this initiative with the hope that DA Short Talks will serve as a common platform for discussion and collaboration.

By sorting out the viewers' impressions, we were able to reconfirm the high level of viewer satisfaction for DA short talks and the high needs from a wide range of requests for lectures. On the other hand, it is difficult to increase the number of participants by attracting customers so far, and there are reflections that there is little use of archived videos, so we will consider and implement measures. In addition, we plan to incorporate measures to encourage collaboration between researchers and industry, and to start new activities.

This paper proposes secondary use conditions that promote the utilization of digital archive resources. For this purpose, we surveyed the secondary use conditions of the archives of Japan Search and ADEAC. The results showed that 38.9% and 57.9% of archives set conditions that inhibit utilization. Considering this issue, workshops on the conversion of resources into learning materials by institutions and teachers are practiced. As a result, in the case of Sakata City, the conditions were changed to permit school use without restrictions. From the above, the study suggests the following; (1) Many institutions have set secondary use conditions that are a disincentive to utilization, and (2) It was suggested that institutions and users can potentially promote the openness of resources through utilization-based collaboration.

In recent years, public libraries have accelerated their efforts toward digital archiving as they diversify their services. It is common for public libraries to digitize materials in their collections that have already been systematically organized. The Shizuoka Prefectural Central Library, to which the author belongs, first made its digitized materials available on its website in 1998, and began offering a full-fledged digital archive in 2010. The author will review the transition of the digital archive and report on a case study. Based on the case study, the author will discuss digital archiving in public libraries, and analyze the current status and issues from both service and system perspectives.
