This paper describes the results of finite element analysis for the piezoelectric resonator using alminum nitride. Thickness shear mode resonators using alminum nitride are simulated. The results show the correlation between the resonator's width and the resonant frequency. As a result, we can design the resonators not to cause the coupling with spurious.

With requirement of Computer Aided Engineering becoming stronger, it is very necessary to implement vibration analysis of large-scale structure on supercomputer as quickly as possible. However, since the cost of supercomputer is very expensive it is impossible for many companies to put supercomputer into practical use at present. Consequently, PC cluster which be built by handy and cheap PC is strongly anticipated to implement the same work as supercomputer by many companies. However, if the freedoms of structure to be analyzed become great, the result of analysis will become unstable on PC cluster. Then, in this paper we construct the HAGIWAR-MA modal analysis method, which can disregard lower and higher mode with high accuracy, on PC cluster in order to get stable result for large-scale structure.

We present a numerical procedure for solutions of the equations of motion of an underwater line structure located in a uniform flow of seawater. The underwater line structure is considered as a beam structure in out formulation and the motion of a fluid is described by the tNavier-Stokes equations. Fluid-structure thermal interaction phenomena characterized by stationary random temperature fluctuations, namely thermal striping are observed in the downstream region such as a T-junction piping system of liquid metal fast reactors (LMFRs). Therefore the piping wall located in the downstream region must be protected against the stationary random thermal process which might induced high-cycle fatigue. This paper describes turbulence mixing mechanism at the downstream region based on numerical analyses of a fundamental water experiment simulating the thermal striping phenomena.

It is considered that arched vortex causes the generating lower frequency temperature fluctuations, and the we confirmed that structures by numerical simulations. Also we evaluated relationship between hydrodynamics and temperature distributions of an arched vortex, and quantified the mechanism of the generating lower frequency temperature fluctuations.

In paper machine, to make paper web by drainaging water component from pulp and filler suspension, a series of the hydrofoils are mounted under the wire of web forming section. A simple model to simulate this sheet forming section is developed. In this paper, after estimate the drainage resistance coefficients of the wire fabric and the drainaged pulp mat by using constan pressure filtration test data, calculated some simulation results of a sheet formation process of drainage flow, slurry consistency and pulp mat thickness profiles which is piled up on the wire part using this process model and those estimated coeffients.

A method of frequency domain analysis of secondary systems is extended, and an optimization method is presented for a secondary system, where the mechanical properties of the primary system is fixed. In the proposed method, eigenvalue analysis of the primary system is to be carried out only once at the beginning of optimization. The accuracy and computational efficiency of the proposed method are discussed in the examples.
