The results showed that, in an analysis of courts divided into nine, the only areas that had a significant fall rate for balls blocked across all side attacks were the zone close to the antenna and next to the net, with the total fall rate of balls from all side attacks into the zone close to the antenna being 47%, and the fall rate of those into Z3 next to the next being 25%, for a total of 71% when combined. Comparing the circumstances of the attacks between those in system(42%) and out of system(51%), the latter had a significantly higher fall rate to the zone close to the antenna, and, comparing the fall rates of both zones between in system(66%) and out of system(76%), the latter was again significantly higher. Further, in an analysis of courts divided by 36, the three areas that had significantly high fall rates across all side attacks showed front row side attacks had a rate of 34%, and back row side attacks had a rate of 50%, with the latter being significantly higher.

The purpose of this study was by obtain knowledge to select an appropriate practice method for learner clarify the technical elements what can be a mastered in each practice methods. In this study, I focus on the three typical practice methods of spike : 1)A mark on a floor that proper movement of the foot for approach to take off and a learner trace the mark, 2) A normal method to hit the ball at taking off from approach, 3)A learner bound down from the 30cm box and take off. The main results of this study were as follows; 1) In the practice method using the marker, it is possible to learn the foot position of approaching and taking off. But the step width varies depending on the learner, so it is necessary to set the position of the marker suitable for each learner. 2) It was reasonable to support that a normal practice was appropriate to bring out raising motion of the body during the taking off for higher jumping. 3) It was reasonable to support that it turned out that the normal practice method is appropriate in order to learn the accelerated approach and the taking off. 4) The amount of movement at the taking off was increases in the practice method using a box. But it’s necessary to take notice that the knee joint flexion angle tends to be excessive. 5) It is necessary to make the connection from the approach to the taking off, motion in the air for the task of spikes in a better form by the normal practice. 6) It become clear that a normal practice was more appropriate, if you want to turn the direction of the leap upward,

In the game form of the sport game in the Japanese university, the game form of the home and away is not major. The purpose of this study was to study it for searching what kind of influence the holding of the university volleyball league match home game had on the students who watched games. As a result of having analyzed an impressionistic essay submitted by 330 students using technique of the text mining, the following result was provided. 1. It was suggested that the student who watched a game had many people who were the first volleyball watching games. 2. It is thought that the student who watched a game felt fun and the powerful charm of the volleyball competition from a home game enough. 3. It is thought that the student who watched a game strongly had an impression toward a player and the play of the away team as well as a home team. 4. The student who watched a game showed high interest in a voice playing a game including cheering. Than the result, the holding of the home game at the university is thought to have influence that it is affirmative and is useful for a student watching a game.

This study investigated the usage and effectiveness of “side short second tempo attacks” in top-level male volleyball players. The data were analyzed to clarify the “kill attack ratio”, “attack efficiency”, “short second tempo attacks per set” and “side blocker reverse motion ratio”. The number of left short second tempo attacks per set in World cup(WC) was 0.02 and the number of right short second tempo attacks per set was 0.04. The number of left short second tempo attacks per set in V premier league (VP) was 0.22 and the number of right short second tempo attacks was 0.09. The kill attack ratio of left short second tempo attacks in WC was 75.00% and the attack efficiency was 75.00%. The kill attack ratio and attack efficiency of right short second tempo attacks in WC was 82.14% and 69.05%, respectively. The kill attack ratio of left short second tempo attacks in VP was 64.67% and the attack efficiency was 57.39%. The kill attack ratio and attack efficiency of right short second tempo attacks in VP was 40.13% and 29.28%, respectively. The kill attack ratio and attack efficiency of left short second tempo attacks in VP were significantly higher than those of left second tempo attacks. The kill attack ratio of right short second tempo attacks in WC was significantly higher than that of left second tempo attacks. In addition, the effect size showed a high value in short second tempo attacks in WC and left short second tempo attacks in VP.

The nature of coaching can be regarded as a chain of decision-making. In order to make better decisions, coaches need not to solely rely on their own experience, but also they should learn from others. An established coach’s underlying philosophy is employed when he or she must make difficult or instantaneous decisions; it can also help the coach offer better guidance. However, while there has been a rise in the amount of qualitative research seeking to understand the aims and practical knowledge acquisition process of elite athletes, there are few studies that focus on the underlying philosophy and approaches of coaches to consider the matter from a coaching perspective. In this study, data were gathered from six male and female volleyball coaches at top-tier high schools through an interview survey and SCAT analysis to identify participants’ coaching outlooks. The study results can be used to pass on the practical knowledge of elite practitioners to the next generation of coaches. The analysis shows that all six coaching outlooks place the greatest emphasis on “future growth of the players” and are based on “study”, “context explanation”, “ clear expression and enforcement of goals”, and “positive coach-athlete relationships”.

In this study, we estimated the probability of win in volleyball game by service and points. Results indicated the effect of predictor variables on the probability of win. For example, the service team’s probability of win is lower than non-service( reception) team even when points are tie. The estimated probability of win indicates not only the trend of game, but can applicable to evaluate the player’s contribution for win and manager's benchwork like member change and timeout. We analyzed Japanese elite volleyball league, V.Leage. It is necessary to expand the research to other categories in the future.

The purpose of this study is to obtain basic data that can be used in physical education classes by extracting the points of technical acquisition from teaching reference books and categorizing them from a kinematic point of view for technical guidance on volleyball spikes in school physical education. The results are summarized and presented in terms of the four structural phases of spike movement. 1)Approach phase“Approach from spiker’s position” ① Pre-approach ② Before take-off 2)Take-off phase“Take-off and jump” ③ Take-off ④ Jump 3)Arm motion phase“Arm motion and spiking form” ⑤ Before hitting the ball ⑥ Hitting the ball ⑦ After hitting the ball 4)Landing phase“Landing” ⑧ Landing form

  • Focus on the reception・attack phase

It was suggested that increasing the effectiveness of the reception attack in both the 1st tempo attack and the 2nd tempo attack during the reception attack phase would approach the acquisition of the set. Furthermore, it is presumed that the 1st tempo attack increased the number of runs due to the block being blocked, and the 2nd tempo attack affected the increase in the number of runs due to mistakes, which had an effect on the win / loss and gain / loss set. Regarding the relationship between the 1st tempo attack and the 2nd tempo attack, increasing the blocking rate of the 1st tempo attack makes it difficult for the setter to use the 1st tempo attack, and the opponent's blocker increases the ratio of marks to the 2nd tempo attack. It became clear that this was a factor that reduced the decision rate and effectiveness of the 2nd tempo attack. It became clear that the decision on the 1st tempo attack is related to the number of participants in the attack, the reaction status of the opponent's middle blocker, and the number of opponent's blocks. Since the 1st tempo attack includes the elements of the skill of the setter, the setter must acquire the skills to perform the 1st tempo attack accurately, and the attacker must acquire the skills to prevent the blocked. In addition, even if the reception is a B pass, it is possible to use a 1st tempo attack and always make an attack with four people to create a situation that is numerically superior to the opponent's block, and it will be close to victory.
