Weld qualification by digital signal analysis was established. This method analyzes arc voltage and weld current waveform measured at high sampling rate and evaluates weld quality during welding. This in-process-monitoring approach was applied to gas shield arc welding and clarified utility for poor weld detection.

In laser welding, welding condition tuning is important skill to perform good welding without defects. However, it is not cleared that which parameter is effective for good welding. In this study therefore, We investigated welding condition tuning using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) has been widely used for the decision-making method. And we compared the result and experience of laser welding operator. The result is good corresponding to operator's experience.

In this study, sapphire was brazed to Inconel 600 by brazing technology with using activated brazing filler metal. And brazing-ability was investigated to recognize interfacial reaction and joining mechanism. The cross-ply carbon/carbon composites are brazed to Titanium alloy with Ag-Cu-Ti active brazing filler metal. The C/C composites are (0/90) cross-ply laminated composites, (45/45) composites and (30/60) composites. Its cross section of lamination is brazed to Titanium alloy. For the braze joint, the tensile rupture test is conducted. And the interface was examined using SEM and optical micrograph.

I confirmed mechanical performance of CO2 weld metal using Hot wire. As a result, tensile strength increased and toughness declined in comparison with it without the Hot Wire. The number of passes and arc time reduced 40%.

The solidification cracking susceptibility of extra high-purity type 310 stainless steels was influenced in the contribution ratio of P:S:C=1:1.3:0.5, and that Mn negligibly influenced it. Mn rendered S harmless by stabilizing it as MnS in the remaining liquid phase, and accordingly the apparent contribution of S to the solidification cracking susceptibility would be less than that of P.
